The Ski Rack for my brand spankin new YAMAHA RS Vector Mtn.

Last weekend I took a day trip up to Steamboat to deliver a friends sled and pick up my new sled from Action Motor Sports. As you know I love to use the sled to access the backcountry and I didn't want to shell out a ton of money for a snowmobile ski rack. Last year on my Mountain Max (which i sold) I bought a ski rack from CFR. It worked well but was expensive and it wasn't as secure as I would have liked. On Sunday my friend Jamie used ATV Gun racks for his sled. We got the idea from a guy at Rabbit Ears last season. His set up is great and very secure. You can't beat it for under $30.

Well the RS Vector and most 4-Stroke sleds are not the best to mount ski racks because the exhaust shoots out over the tunnel. So here is what I came up with. SOrry I took these pics at night.

I bought the same gun rack as Jamie. It think it was $24.99 from Sportsmens wharehouse. The straps cost $2 bucks each I believe.

Since the Exhaust shoots out the back I needed to do something so it didn't melt my skis. I plan on doing a custom exhaust in the future but $$ is tight right now. I went to home depot and did this.

I have no idea if it will be restricting but it's worth the try

I know it looks funny and I hope it works. The best part is that everything comes off pretty quickly. the only think that is left over is a small piece on the tunnell handle.

I read online that some guys went out this week near Aspen. I can't wait.
