Rabbit Ears First Day O' POW
Spend the weekend up at Rabbit Ears and got to test a lot of stuff out.
First. It was EXTREMELY cold out. Negative temps. For some reason on Friday night I felt like the camper wasn't insulated enough and I had a bad nights sleep. Sat night was even colder but the camper was toasty warm. Go figure
Second. The high-jacker snowmobile jack that I carry at PowerSports Xchange. This morning I went on a short ride by myself. Found a nice POW field and starting doing some carving POW turns. In the middle of a turn, in 3 ft of POW, my sled just sunk another 2 feet. IT was buried to the windshield. In a normal circumstance this could have led to MAJOR issues. Without the High-Jacker there was no way I would have ever gotten out. Huge believer now. That could have turned out to be a cary situation.
Third. The new sled is awesome in POW. It's miles better than my old sled. Very happy with my purchase.
The POW was deep and endless. Just needed to be careful for the rocks.
Salway getting used to his new sled.
As you can see I am not the only crazy person that winter camps
